Royal Challengers Bengaluru

The tenth game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will see the clashing of two high-profile franchises in Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) taking on the local team Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 28 March, Friday.

The host team Bengaluru will again don their jersey with the sole intention of out batting their opposition with their explosive batting lineup, the dropping of Karn Sharma in the last game against Punjab Kings too justifies their approach.

Virat Kohli in the previous game showed his class and charisma of which the whole world is a fan, the thing which stood out in his knock of 77 was how consistently he kept his strike rate above the asking rate throughout his innings, he thought admitted he was disappointed when he couldn’t finish the game tells he is still not satisfied by his returns which should serve as a note of “Beware” for the oppositions lining up to play Bengaluru.

His South African ally and the skipper of the team would want to ensure the last game was a mere exception where he couldn’t score runs, Rajat Patidar in his knock of 18 looked good but again fell off a nothing delivery, he had to come good for them which ensures their run rate in the middle overs of the innings does not get stuck.

The two all-rounders Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green who also make up for the 5th bowler of Bengaluru will want to forget their previous failures and would be keen to make a mark on the game against arch-rivals Kolkata.

With them, Anuj Rawat and Mahipal Lomror who break the pattern of right-handers would also be an able spin basher be expected to negate the threat of Kolkata’s spin trio which will help the rest of their lineup take on the pacers.

The Bengaluru team has now started to nurture Anuj Rawat as their wicketkeeper, and by the looks of it, Dinesh Karthik will again be the Impact player which confirms he is playing his last season of professional Cricket.

Mayank Dagar was brought in as the replacement of Shahbaz Ahmed but has failed to make any substantial addition to the Bengaluru lineup, and against a team which has 4 left-handers in their top 7 will again challenge him.

Bengaluru’s fast bowlers made the most out of the pitch which was dashed out in the last encounter where the quicks were successful in exerting some uneven bounce by hitting the deck.
