In another disturbing video that has now gone viral on social media, Hardik Pandya, the new captain of the Mumbai Indians, can be seen being booed and abused by fans at Mullanpur. This incident occurred just an hour before the match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings.

This isn’t the first time Hardik Pandya has faced such treatment. Since the beginning of the season, wherever he goes, he’s met with similar hostility from frustrated fans, particularly since taking over the captaincy of Mumbai Indians.

While the booing and jeering weren’t as loud at Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and other grounds, they reached a peak at the Wankhede Stadium. The treatment was so severe that even commentator Sanjay Manjrekar had to intervene and ask the crowd to behave.

As for the Mumbai Indians, they had a disappointing start to their IPL 2024 campaign, losing three games in a row before bouncing back with two wins, then experiencing another loss before securing a recent victory against Punjab Kings.
