IPL 2024: After Toss Fixing, Mumbai Indians Now Accused of DRS Cheating

Following a tense battle, Mumbai Indians emerged victorious with a 9-run win over Punjab Kings, courtesy of Jasprit Bumrah’s stellar bowling performance on Thursday, April 19 at Mullanpur.

Amid Mumbai Indians’ win, a controversial video has gone viral on social media, accusing the team of ‘DRS Cheating’. In the video, Tim David could be seen signalling for DRS to be taken, before realising that he is on camera.

This video has taken social media by storm, sparking allegations of cheating by Mumbai Indians. In the clip, Punjab Kings’ interim skipper Sam Curran can be seen voicing his concerns to the on-field umpire. Surprisingly, no action followed.

Eventually the review was called after the signal from the MI bench, leading to the on-field umpire signalling a wide. Fans were understandably outraged, raising doubts about the umpiring standards in this season’s league.
