The batting powerhouse, often called the Hulk, Marcus Stoinis, delivered a phenomenal performance as LSG beat CSK by 6 wickets in Match No. 39 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 in Chennai.

Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten innings of 124 runs from 63 balls, including 13 fours and 6 sixes, guided the Super Giants to the highest successful IPL run-chase at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

The previous record belonged to Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings, who chased down 201 against Chennai Super Kings at their den, Chepauk last year.

After being put in to bat, Chennai Super Kings managed to score 210 runs for the loss of four wickets, with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring an unbeaten century and Shivam Dube adding a half-century to the total.

Lucknow Super Giants got off to a rough start in response, losing their opener Quinton de Kock for a duck, and captain KL Rahul couldn’t make any huge contribution. It was Marcus Stoinis who played a crucial role in guiding the team to victory.
