Ahead of the fast-approaching World Cup starting June 1 in the USA and West Indies, the IPL 2024 serves as a vital audition platform, with players vying to make their mark and secure positions in their national squads.

During a conversation with the ‘Club Prairie Fire’ podcast, Rohit Sharma showered praise on MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik for their exceptional performances in IPL 2024.

In his typical way, Rohit humorously remarked on the challenge of persuading Dhoni for the coveted wicketkeeper spot in T20 World Cup 2024, while also lauding Dhoni’s impactful innings for CSK against MI at Wankhede Stadium.

In what might be his last competitive appearance at Wankhede Stadium, Dhoni showcased his enduring affection for the venue. He signed off in style by launching three consecutive sixes off MI captain Hardik Pandya in the final over, guiding CSK to a mammoth total of 206 runs.

“It’ll be hard to convince MSD for sure to come to the West Indies I guess. He is sick and tired. He is coming to the US though to do something else. He is into golf, so he will play golf I guess. DK will be easy to convince I guess,” Rohit said.

Dinesh Karthik To Play T20 World Cup 2024?

Karthik has been balancing commentary commitments alongside his role in franchise cricket for RCB. His recent standout performance saw him almost single-handedly guide RCB towards victory, smashing 83 runs off 35 balls in a thrilling chase against SRH, who posted a record IPL total of 287 runs.
