Mitchell Starc

Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) million-dollar man, Mitchell Starc, won’t be in action for the 42nd IPL match against Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Friday.

Shreyas Iyer, captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, explained during the toss that Mitchell Starc is out of the game due to a finger injury.

Mitchell Starc, for whom the team shelled out INR 24.75 Crore during IPL 2024, has struggled, securing only seven wickets in six matches with a high economy rate of 11.50.

While there were reports of Mitchell Starc being dropped from the team, news has now emerged that he’s nursing a finger injury, hinting at his return to the playing 11 once he recovers.
