Royal Challengers Bengaluru

The 41st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will have Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on the 25th of April, Thursday.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru now finally looks settled with their combination; they are now playing with a batter-heavy lineup that would like to bat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad side.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis will open the batting for Bengaluru; both are capable enough of taking down the pace bowlers in the powerplay.

Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar will occupy the number 3 and number 4 positions respectively. Jacks is at ease against pacers, and in case a wicket falls early in the powerplay, he is capable enough of adding value with his hitting.

Patidar is now back in form; his last innings were proof of this when he took down Sunil Narine and Suyash Sharma.

Cameron Green is now back into the side. Apart from being a muscular hitter, he will take up the job of the 5th bowler, allowing Bengaluru to play an extra batter in Suyash Prabhudesai.

Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror will again provide the finishing kick to Bengaluru’s innings. Lomror being a lefty will provide them with variety, while Karthik has been in great touch throughout the season.

Bowling Trio of Siraj, Dayal, and Ferguson: Key to Covering Bases

A bowling trio of Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, and Lockie Ferguson covers up a lot of bases for them, but they have lacked the execution of plans. Adding to this, if you consider the tactical unawareness of their skipper, Hyderabad may again punish them badly.

Karn Sharma is the sole spinner of the team; he will have to be at his absolute best. If he fails, the batters of Hyderabad won’t spare him.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Probable Playing 11 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar, Cameron Green, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Karn Sharma, Yash Dayal, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammad Siraj

Impact Player: Suyash Prabhudesai
